I am in Crete, Greece for the week taking some much needed and well deserved rest and relaxation. Nonetheless, popping in to show you this list of new things, furnishing my what new thing for July. This holiday is like the wiping clean of the slate, the line in the sand, the one new thingy… moment. It will be good to reflect back on this list at at later date. Please leave your comments, questions, derision, cynicism… (no, don’t do that).
- Set up my Mac to show MS Word and Creative Writing folder when I power it on.
- Write a WILL DO list every day before sitting down to work (even when working on one particular area.
- Stop when my time (on any one task) is up.
- Do one thing at a time. Do that one thing with purpose, experience the sensation of action in the moment. Enjoy!
- Take a break away from the computer when I am writing, blogging for long periods. Every hour, get up, walk around… enable the flow of blood to all body parts, open up the gates to myriad creative ideas.
- Put my phone on silence (really, I’m working here!)
- Let it go! Perfection is time consuming.
- Don’t make a drama out of a crisis!
- Reward myself. Be honest, do I really deserve this reward? The answer is always, YES!
- Speed write for the first 10 minutes of the extra hour in my day.
- Schedule blog posts (instead of posting all on one day because inspiration has hit) - just like I’ve done with this one!
Thanks for taking a minute to read my response to #reverb11 July prompt.
See you next week. Namaste.
