Speak Less of Your Plans,

… you’ll get more done.

My interpretation points to, the importance of who you share your plans with, and being selective. The Artist’s Way (Julia Cameron) 12-step programme prompts to create a circle of safety, inside which the people that will forward your dreams, your project, your creativity, your art, are included. At the same time, people whom you might need to protect your creativity from are highlighted. Not in a malicious or sneaky way. It’s black and white, X-person’s presence or input either works for you or does not. It is well within our rights to protect what is important, fragile even, depending on the stage the project or work is at.

That is all.

Thanks for taking a minute to read my response to the day 21 prompt:

Speak Less by Laura Kimball

What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think. This rule, equally arduous in actual and in intellectual life, may serve for the whole distinction between greatness and meanness. It is the harder, because you will always find those who think they know what is your duty better than you know I. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I once received a fortune cookie that read: “Speak less of your plans, you’ll get more done.” What’s one project that you’ve been sitting on and thinking about but haven’t made progress on? What’s stopping you? What would happen if you actually went for it and did it?
